Self-Pay/Out-of-Network Insurance

I am NOT in-network with any insurance. Some insurance plans cover sessions with me under their "out-of-network provider" mental health benefits policy. All clients are treated as self-pay clients.

You can request a monthly statement that you can file for out-of-network benefits, if you wish. This office does not file any insurance claims.

To determine if you have out-of-network mental health benefits, check with your insurance carrier.

Check your coverage carefully and find out the answers to the following:

  • What are my mental health benefits?

  • What is the coverage amount per therapy session for out-of-network providers?

  • How many therapy sessions does my plan cover?

  • Is approval required from my primary care physician?

  • Are benefits subject to meeting a separate out of network provider deductible first? If so, how much more do I need to pay on my deductible for this year?
